case study: corrective action saves tree

Even when a tree is properly planted, changes to its surrounding landscape can have a negative impact on its health.

This client called Arboriculture Services Inc.(ASI) after noticing a problem with an existing tree in its subdivision.

Our certified consulting arborist, Hugh Tyer, evaluated the tree and determined that too much dirt covered the tree as a result of recent landscape grading. Hugh recommended a plan to remove 12 inches of soil from a 30 foot circumference around the tree.

As a result of the corrective action recommended by ASI, the client's tree was saved and the knowledgeable client was better equipped to manage future grading projects.
