case study: saving a historic magnolia at the state capital
The Georgia State Building Authority needed a plan to preserve a historic Magnolia on the Capital grounds. It contacted ASI for consulting.
Arboriculture Services Inc. (ASI) developed and managed a treatment plan for rod and cable bracing to support a weak crotch in the tree. (Notice the vertical seam in the photo.) As a result, the tree is still standing five years later, having withstood numerous storms. If you have a concern about the structure of a tree, contact ASI for assistance. |
